Hysteroscopic Resection

Hysteroscopic resection uses hysteroscopy to operate within the uterine cavity. Polyps, fibroids and uterine septums may be treated with this technique. Because the cervix needs to be dilated to as large as 10mm, this procedure is generally done in the hospital as an outpatient procedure, utilizing general anesthesia.
