Dr. William T. Cook started his career in 1989, delivering and operating at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. In 1995, he moved to Peachtree City and anchored a satellite office for his group in Fayette County. As Piedmont Medical Center built the new hospital in Fayette County, Dr. Cook became involved in many aspects of the hospitals development, both with its medical staff and facilities. From 2003 to 2006, he was Board Chair of Piedmont Fayette Hospital. In 2006, as Piedmont Fayette Hospital began providing obstetrical services, Dr. Cook formed a new group, The Women’s Specialists of Fayette, so that he could devote himself full time to practicing within Fayette County.
He received his BS degree in Chemistry with honors from the University of Michigan in 1981. In 1985, he received his medical degree from the University of Michigan as well. In 1989, he completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Chicago. He served his last year there as administrative chief resident.
