Dr. Tanya Beckford

Dr. Beckford’s areas of interest include menorrhagia, dysmenorrheal, menopause, and adolescent counseling and prevention. She is highly experienced in anterior/posterior repairs, incontinence surgeries, laparoscopic surgeries, transobturator tape, and transvaginal hysterectomies. Dr. Beckford is also excited about new contraceptive techniques including the Essure procedure.

A native of Long Island, NY Dr. Beckford attended the Honors College at SUNY at Stony Brook and continued her studies at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. After her residency, she served as an assistant clinical professor at that Institution.

Dr. Beckford and her cardiologist husband recently moved to Georgia. In their spare time they enjoy exploring the many sights in the state and traveling both within and outside the U.S.
